FAQ No.1What are the qualifications needed by a candidate for the admission to the Aeronautical Engineering and Commercial Pilot Program?

Candidates should be a graduate of any Science/Math field or should meet the requirements needed on the Application Announcement.

FAQ No.2What does an applicant need in taking the examination?

An applicant should have an excellent engineering knowledge and an intense interest in aeronautical engineering.

FAQ No.3Why did King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang collaborate with Asia Aviation Academy?

Both institutions co-founded and developed the curriculum along with the development of Chumphon Airport and KMITL Prince of Chumphon Campus.

FAQ No.4Does the program offer financial aid such as student loan?

Yes. The applicant who wishes to apply the program can contact directly with Siam Commercial Bank and Krung Thai Bank Head Offices.

FAQ No.5Is Asia Aviation Academy certified by the Civil Aviation Authority in Thailand?

Yes. AAA has been certified since June 2, 2015.

FAQ No.6What certificate will a student receive after he/she finishes the Aeronautical Engineering program?

A student will receive:
Diploma in Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Aeronautical Engineering

CPL (Commercial Pilot License) *SMS (Safety Management System)
PPL (Private Pilot License) *CRM (Crew Resource Management)
IR (Instrument Rating) *MCC (Multi-Crew Coordination)
ME (Multi Engine Rating)

FAQ No.7Upon graduation, how many flight hours will a student receive?

A student will receive an accumulated flight hour of not less than the required hours by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand.

FAQ No.8How much is the tuition fee?

The tuition fee is separated into 2 parts per semester.

1st payment is for the Aeronautical Engineering Course = 90,000 THB/semester
2nd payment is for the Commercial Pilot Course = 350,000 THB/semester.

This includes the student’s travel, food, accommodation, uniform, insurance and other fees related to flight training.

FAQ No.9Can an applicant work as a pilot after finishing the entire program?

YES. It depends on the regulations and requirements set by the different airline companies.

The Aeronautical Engineering and Commercial Pilot program require a medical certificate from a specialized doctor which states that an applicant is short-sighted.
